In the fall of 2016, Angela and I were taking our first photography class together. We received an assignment to go somewhere and practice street photography in black and white. We were allowed to use sepia settings. As you can see from one photo, I took a shot in black and white and quickly switched to color. In another, I could not resist the vibrancy of our nation’s flag. I enjoy patriotic shots, and I love flags in particular. Here are but a few shots from our first trip.
Why Southport? Angela is a huge Nicholas Sparks reader and I actually liked the Safe Haven (the movie). So this is where we ended up completing our assignment. Here are but a few shots from our first trip.
